The last few weeks we’ve had some amazing musical moments and great entertainment at the Vine and Bean. I’ve been blown away by the fantastic voices and unique but strong approached to songcraft. It’s a pretty moving experience being so intimately close with such artistry. We always have a nice collection of listeners but there’s plenty of room for you and yours. We serve dinner or dessert all the way ’til close.
Friday, October 9: Elliot Ingersoll
Elliot is no stranger to the Vine and Bean and had us in erudite stitches last time he played. Join his expanding collection of dedicated fans this Friday. Funny, touching and entertaining, Mr. Ingersoll will turn you into a fan in no time.
Saturday, October 10, Rebekah Jean
A native of Rustbelt suburbia, Rebekah Jean came to performing like so many others by singing in her church choir. Influenced by the music of Patty Griffin, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, Joni Mitchell, and Ani DiFranco, she quickly spread her wings and explored other musical outlets. Mixing her experience with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus with her love of traditional Appalachian music and the social activism of the folk movement, Rebekah was part of the inception of bluegrass/activist band Here’s To The Long Haul and played with them for their first year. Finding herself drawn to writing, she now solos throughout the local region. Her crystal clear vocals and honest lyrics make her a refreshing performer in any venue. Songwriting according to Rebekah: “The plain truth is always better, I think, even when it’s not completely profound. Obvious but honest beats the obscure but contrived every time.”
Rebekah Jean will play her guitar, ukulele, and omnichord for your listening pleasure in the Vine and Bean parlor. Good music for sipping wine or microbrews.
